We can create objects of various sizes and materials using our 3D printing technologies. While there are a number of techniques available, the processes are similar in the sense, that all of them involve printing thin layers upon layers to build up the desired form. Layer thickness is measured in microns (one thousandth of a millimeter). The material used can be plastic filament, powder or wax. The length of the printing process can vary based on the desired size, structure and material of the object and can take several hours or even several days. Basiliskus 3D has 12 printers available, which cover 5 different technologies and more than 50 materials. The price of printing an object of a certain size can vary at a factor of a 100 depending on the desired technology and material, however, printing simple objects has become affordable for everybody nowadays.
