Heroes of Limanova-Heroes of the great war
Heroes of Limanowa is a World War I strategy board game for 2 to 4 players. The gameboard – the battlefield – covers the region surrounding Limanowa, Gorlice and Bártfa, where the clashes, in reality, took place in December 1914 unfold during the game.
Players personify the commanders of four different army corps as two opposing parties: Austro-Hungarian units are at war with the forces of the Russian Empire. Accordingly, the Austro-Hungarian side can opt to stand ground as commander of the Hadfy Group, tasked with protecting Limanowa against the “Russian Steamroller”, or as commander of the Szurmay Group forging ahead in the Carpathians.
On the other hand, any player may assume command of the Russian Army Corps VIII sieging Limanowa or the Russian Army Corps VII, fighting against the Szurmay Group in the Carpathians.
Our task was to optimize and prepare the 3D models of the miniatures of the Limanova tabletop game and then to print prototypes using the Formlabs Form2 3D printer.
Did you know…?
A group of friends has been designing and developing a new fantasy tabletop game in the last few years using our wax-based printing process to breathe life into the miniatures.
Development started as a hobby and at first the miniatures were symbolized only with a piece of paper. In 2012 the final design of the platform the figures are standing on was finalized and in 2013 modeling, detailing and wax printing of the first miniatures began.
Usually, which printer is used to print miniatures and scale-models?
For printing miniatures and scale-models we usually turn to the Solidscape T76 Plus, or the Formlabs Form2, both of which are capable of printing wax or even biocompatible materials. The level of detail and the requests of the customer are taken into account to make sure we use the printer that is most appropriate for the job.
Anachrony is a competitive Euro-style strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic world rebuilt along four different ideological Paths. The game is played through a series of turns called Eras, with past ones reachable through time travel later in the game.
Players assume the roles of iconic leaders of the four Paths, striving not only for the supremacy and well-being of their people, but also their survival. After the fourth Era, an asteroid impact shakes Earth, threatening to destroy the World Capital, Earth’s last independent city.
The Paths should prepare for the coming cataclysm, and when the time comes, take their part in evacuating the collapsing Capital. In the end, one of the Paths will be the new home to the reformed World Council, and lead humanity into a new future.
Cerebria is a team-based area control game for 1-6 players, set in a person’s mind re-imagined as a vibrant fantasy world.
Players assume the role of Spirits, followers of the Inside World’s two opposing forces, Bliss and Gloom, with the goal of shaping Cerebria’s Identity to their image. For that purpose, they have been granted power over the Emotions, Cerebria’s denizens: they can invoke, move, empower and evolve Emotions to influence and control Cerebria’s Realms and Frontiers.
Cerebria’s state is in constant flux until a Spirit triggers a Revelation – these are key moments in the game when the current game state is evaluated and is preserved as a permanent Bliss or Gloom fragment on the Identity.
Cerebria is a deep and highly customizable game full of player interaction, where timing and cooperation with your teammate are essential to victory.
